Lavender is an herb flower. It has many uses. Lavender has been used for medicinal purposes for many, many years. It is commonly used for used for anxiety, restlessness, insomnia, depression, headache and pain. It can sometimes be used in food and drinks for flavor. Make sure you are getting high quality, wildcrafted, organic products. I suggest using this Lavender Oil.
Some side effects can include: constipation, increased appetite, skin irritation. May also slow down the central nervous system. Stop using Lavender Oil 2 weeks before having any surgery.
It is best to not use Lavender oil on young boys who have not reached puberty. Lavender oil seems to have hormone effects that could disrupt the normal hormones in a boy's body. In some cases, this has resulted in boys developing abnormal breast growth called gynecomastia.
There is not enough information on the safety of use by pregnant or breastfeeding women. It is best to stay on the safe side and avoid.
